California air quality regulators give truckers more time to meet smog standards

In a move that is likely to have have negative health consequences for some, the California Air Resources Board has delayed new rules to clean up the state's diesel truck fleet.

"We understand that cleaning up trucks is expensive, but somebody has to pay," said Pamela Tapia, a community college student from Oakland with asthma. "Right now we're paying with our health and that's not right." 

Unfortunately, this isn't the first delay, and this one was opposed by many truckers.
